One step closer...

One step closer to being Mrs. Massimi :) Freddy & I picked out our wedding bands today at Bailey's! Freddy picked out a very simple yellow gold band, and mine compliments my engagement ring. And the best thing...they were having a sale so we got a discount, plus Freddy referred a buddy of his to Bailey's so we got a referral discount as well. Woo hoo!! They'll have to resize both our rings, along with my engagement ring so everything will fit perfectly. Feels funny not having my ring :( Oh well, we'll pick up everything on Tuesday.

That was pretty much the most exciting part of our day. We woke up early to load up the trailer & move some of our furniture to our new place, but it rained alllll day long. So instead of an active day of moving, we stayed in bed & watched TV till 2pm, LOL. That's when we finally got up & headed out to pick out the rings & grab dinner at El Tap...oh yeah!

Now we're back at home watching "Celebrity Ghost Stories," and packing. I love these kinda shows, but I'll definitely regret watching it when it comes time for bed.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone :)

Dusty

Friends - we're adopting a dog! His name is Dusty, and he's a 10-year old yellow lab. For those that don't know, the house we're moving into is actually my grandfather's oldest brother's home that he shared with his wife. Unfortunately, both of them now require around-the-clock care & they've sadly had to move into assisted living facilities. It's really a sad situation. I can't imagine having to leave everything I worked my whole life for! Well, they left behind Dusty, and my grandparents have been visiting him a few times a day to feed & play with him (he's an outside dog). Well, Freddy has absolutely fallen in love with him! Every time we stop by the house to move stuff in, Freddy heads straight for the backyard to find Dusty. He plays ball & frisbee with him, walks him down to the park for some exercise, and gives him all the love & attention he needs. My grandparents were going to take Dusty over to their house & put up a fence for him, but once they saw how attached Freddy was to him & how much fun Dusty was having, they asked if we'd care for him. And of course Freddy said yes! The good thing is we don't have to pay for any of his food or bills. And that's a good thing since I have a cat that costs an arm & a leg!! The only problem I have with him...he likes to jump. Gonna have to put an end to that. Hopefully you can teach an old dog new tricks...

I will be posting a picture of him very soon. We're taking him to the groomer on Friday for a good ole bath & shaving. He has such a thick coat, and with as hot as it's been, he's a little funky :) I'll post a picture after he's all fancy!
